Optimize Solidworks with Windows 7
Optimize Solidworks with Windows 7
(OP)
I'm sure this question has been asked before but if I can be directed to the right place I'd appreciate it. What's the best way to optimize Solidworks 2010 with Windows 7? I have a HP Pavilion with an Athlon II X4 635 Processor, 2900 Mhz, Quad Core, 10 GIG Ram, Western Digital 1T Green, nVidia Quadro FX-1800. It seems the hardware is appropriate (except for maybe the AMD - I'm an Intel fan myself) but I seem to creep along after a period of time. Other times Solidworks will stop working altogether and give me the dreaded "Solidworks is not responding..." message. Sometimes I will get a dialog that tells me that Solidworks has detected low resources and that I should shutdown some programs. I usually have Internet open for email and calendar and always have Excel open. Other than that I'm just not running much. Any suggestions that will help my performance?
