hi,
i have been doing metal sheet forming model building months ago, after finished the conventional shell element building, im up to thick element building now: the blank is 75*10*2(mm)-meshed by thick element.the finest mesh, which can complete the job running without eorror that i ever got was 1.5*1.5*2mm(element size).this is not good to me. my idealized result could be from the mesh 1*1*2mm, which cant complete the running with heaps of 'maximum penetration messages' and the error message was 'too many attempts'which is not helpful to solve the problem at all. please enlighten me.

cheers
