Inventor to CNC

I'm working with Inventor to create millwork panels with specific holes and cutouts. Once I create my panels, I create drawings in Inventor and export them to AutoCAD (.dwg) format.  My millwork vendor takes my .dwg export and uses it to create his cut patterns using AutoCAD and Microvellum Toolbox.  I'd like to see if I can avoid having to create detail drawings for every panel. Is there any way for me to communicate to a CNC directly from Inventor?

RE: Inventor to CNC

Can you post a sample *.ipt file here?

RE: Inventor to CNC

Any reason you can't simply export your ipt files to a 3d format autocad can import and be done with it? (step/iges/sat)

Great,that does simplify things! Thanks!

RE: Inventor to CNC

Do open your exported .dwg in Autocad, however, or at least provide one or more dimensions.  I've had inventor give me an exported .dwg file with all of the scales factors mangled.
