export tool to library

(OP)
Have just moved to new employer and have to set up NX6 on laptop, this was Ok but I have a problem where I cant export a tool to library. Just getting error message "UNABLE TO UPDATE FILE".

The idea is to enable me to export a tool with the same name as s too part file which contains the model of the said tool.

Any advice would be much appreciated

RE: export tool to library

Make sure the Library files are not set to Read Only

I would recommend copying the resource folder in case bad things happen.

i can export a tool after creating from dropdown menu and also can export a tool retrieved from library. it wont allow me to export a tool if I edit it, for instance tried to create boring bar so selected ID CNMG then changed it to a round insert, once Ive changed it it will not export
