Best coil type for max flux?

Best coil type for max flux?

Conventional, bifilar or caduceus? Where on earth does one find such data?

RE: Best coil type for max flux?

Dear Irstuff,

Please foregive me as I do not know how to contact you in any other way. You state that my question was already ANSWERED.  I have received one REPLY, under Electronic/electrical which REPLY, while helpful, was anything but an ANSWER. It corrected my 'watts' should have been 'amps' but made no mention of the type of coil winding. Am I wrong?

Regards,

Tom

RE: Best coil type for max flux?

not to worry, this particular forum (not IR) is notorious for slamming, have noticed however, that the main effect has been an absence of posters

coil design all depends on what you are trying to accomplish, the field intensity, and the volume being driven, not to mention the power supply, cooling limitations, etc.

will say that there is no one design that "is best"
