Converter Wizard in Freestyle

Is Converter Wizard the only command in Catia to simplify an imported igs surface (similar to "Rebuild" in Rhino where you can reduce the number of control points in the U and V directions within a specified tolerance)?.
The surface I have seems quiet heavy as there is a slight lag when doing operations on it.
And also on my converter Wizard command (YM2 module) all the options are grayed out.

RE: Converter Wizard in Freestyle

I could not think about another way to change the order of the surface. I use my convert wizard with FSS license and it works fine.

And yes high segmentation can slow down computation... I've seen surfaces with more than 250 segments with order 4 on 1 direction... making a fillet from this was not workable, also checking distance from another surface was a real pain...

Yes, this works pretty well.
Have also gone to import settings (Options/General/Compatibility/IGES) and set the the Import option "Continuity Optimization of Curves and Surfaces" from "Automatic Optimization" to "No Optimization" and this brings in the surface with the same number of control points as it came from the original program, and the surface size ends up a lot smaller as well.
