Drive Pin - Torsion

(OP)
Hello,

We have a coupling where a hub is fitted fairly tightly over a shaft and pinned using a straight dowel pin.  The coupling is required to transfer torsional and slight axial forces.  Using Roarks table 17.1, paragraph 18 our proposed pin solution is greater than the 0.4 ratio (0.436) on pin diameter vs shaft diameter.  Are there any similar developed stress concentration factors for these higher ratios, or is it not recommended to go above the 0.4 value?

Thanks
