FEM TRAINING

FEM TRAINING

(OP)
DOES ANYONE KNOW A SOURCE FOR FEM (FINITE ELEMENT MODELING) TRAINING; ONLINE OR DISTANCE? WITH DIGITAL MODELING.

RE: FEM TRAINING

There are few  corse on line  about FEM /FEA
I suppose the best is setup from ERAU in Daytona, Florida
There are amazing CD self trayinig  corse.
The company ALGOR, Ansy and MSC supply this corse on cd-rom
I have work with FEA/FEM since 1986 and my point of view is that one self traing course is one good start.
MSC supply CD with PATRAN and MSC/NASTRAN example very excelent I have one  and  it is well done

There are on web some free stuff that can give you the  right direction .

The best you can do is try and try. FEM approach is a personal approach to Aircraft structural analysis.
One nice looking Mesh does not meanig the right result. You should know very well how everything works. The  Finite Element Model has to comply the physic model reality and the boundary condiction has to be apply in the correct way.

I am Italian aeronautical and Aerospace engineer with 15 years of experience .

You are welcome if you need helps and tips
