looking for specific automotive sensor harnesses
looking for specific automotive sensor harnesses
(OP)
I'm working on a project that involves using several automotive sensors from late model Subaru cars. I have what's called a TGV motor and sensor pair, but I am looking for the manufacturer that makes the associated plugs.
I have tried looking up AMP/Tyco connectors, but they all come very close but do not have the exact type I need and do not come in the keying I need either.
Here are two pictures of the plug types I need. One is two position, and another is three position. Click on them to get super-sized images.

I realize I could just solder and heat shrink wiring directly onto the connectors themselves, but this is far from the ideal solution.
Any insight to where I can purchase these connector plugs or pigtails, either in bulk or small quantity is greatly appreciated.

They are probably made specifically for them which means they own the mould and exclusive rights to anything produced from it.
Reverse engineering and making a mould is possible but will cost quite a few thousand dollars plus set up time and wastage to get the moulding machine running and producing parts. If you wanted one off, it might cost something like $5000 to $10,000
If you want 100 parts, divide the above costs by 100 to get a per part cost. If you require 10,000 parts divide the above by 10,000, but also add in a small cost for extra materials consumed.

... which is how I found out that the troublesome switch on Ford master cylinders, the one that overheats and starts fires for no good reason, will connect nicely with a Bosch fuel injector pigtail. (Which I installed, with an inline fuse).
Now, you will find fewer blister packs on display, because nobody wants to stock _anything_, but if business is slow enough, the guys at the parts counter might let you look at their pigtail catalog, which contains 1:1 drawings or photos. You still might have to buy a few things that don't quite fit, but chances are you'll find something close enough, because auto manufacturers don't want to tool up for new connectors any more than you do.

I was looking for ECU sensor connectors for a Toyota "JDM", (or Japanese Domestic Model) engine, and blundered onto a 4AGE site, and be damned if some kid hadn't developed a crossover chart, connector ID photos, vendor list, pin outs, and even replacement pin p/n's.
Maybe there is something similar going on in the Subaru world?

I've checked all of them, but no one has part numbers or done any work on this sort of thing. Most people just leave them unplugged and cover up the exposed harness with tape, which isn't something I plan on doing. Thanks for the idea though.

This is the source of a large volume of the blister packs. If you find the correect part, most parts stores can order it for you.
