Not exactly what you are looking for but the subject is construction and engineering disasters, and is a light and interesting read for an engineer:
"Why Buildings Fall Down" by Levi and Salvadori

RE: internet librarys with construction faults ???

Some books:

Third edition
James Douglas and Bill Ransom
Francis&Taylor ed.

Forensic Structural Engineering Handbook

Spon Press

Building Pathology, Principles and Practice
David S. Watt

RE: internet librarys with construction faults ???

BauTomTom,

a few relevant websites:

www.scoss.org.uk/  and there should be links to the cross website also which is by the same group.

http://www.aisc.org/content.aspx?id=2164  and watch the field fixes seminar which has lots of site faults and recommendations on how to fix them.

I agree that the why buildings fall down is a good one along with its related text why buildings stand up - not a joke but it is a very good text that every graduate should read.
