R101 ring good for CL 1500 service?

(OP)
A 28" CL 1500 flange has been designed per ASME Sec. VIII, Div. 1, Appendix 2.  Anyone know how it can be shown that a R101 28" ring joint gasket is good for 3705 psi?  If it is not, how does one go about calculating the required dimensions to design their own?
