sol file for hydrologic/hydraulic model

sol file for hydrologic/hydraulic model

(OP)
Does anyone know what type of software an "sol" file extension is associated with?
I believe it is related to either StormNET, AutoCAD Civil 3D Storm / Sanitary Analysis (successor to StormNET) or one of the Hydraflow extensions to Civil 3D. It's some kind of input, output or database file for a stormwater/hydrologic/hydraulic model, but I'm trying to find out what software is needed to work with it.
Thanks!

RE: sol file for hydrologic/hydraulic model

have you tried opening it in a text editor?

Yes, unfortunately it is gibberish. Not ASCII text, must be binary or something else unreadable to a text editor.
