User defined composite model for Abaqus

User defined composite model for Abaqus

(OP)
Hi All,

I'm planing to implement a user defined composite model in Abaqus other than using exiting Abaqus model (Hashin's model) which is limited in many ways. The new model should be able to simulate a multi-directional multi-layers composite panels with a particular failure model.

I wonder if anyone in the forum has some experiences with this topic and what is the best way to do so (like using vuel or vumat).

I just try to put it in general way first and welcome any specific questions you may need to answer my question.

Thank you very much.
