Hello all,

see attached nx7 prt file. Can somebody explain strange dimensioning behaviour?

Double-click on your centerlines and you will see that you've 'added' an 'Offset Distance' of 100.00 mm.

Just set the Offset Method to 'None' and you'll get what you expected.

but I cannot understand whenand why this offset distance is usefull?

Think of item where you might be detailing a view relative to a centerline that if drawn to scale would fall off the drawing sheet.  This way you can draw it wherever it's convenient and yet still make accurate and associative dimensions which reference it.
