Simulation on a Multibody part

Simulation on a Multibody part

(OP)
Greetings all,
I have a multibody part that I was looking to run simulation on for bending analysis but SW comes back with a message stating "can only be done on one body and the rest will be ignored."  I have SW Professional with the full sim package and I thought this would work.  Is there a way to run the simulation on a multibody part or do I need to make it an assembly possibly?  The multibody part was created as a weldment.

Thanks for options.

RE: Simulation on a Multibody part

If you run it as a solid... make sure you set your global contact... probably to bonded.  It should work... unless you have gaps.
