ASME Section II 2009b

ASME Section II 2009b

(OP)
Is there a 2009b Addenda to the ASME Section II 2007 Edition?
What I've seen in the past follows the 2007 Edition, 2008 Addenda, then a 2009 Addenda. I've not seen a 2009b Addenda.
.
Thanks in advance.

RE: ASME Section II 2009b

Yes there is a 2009 Addendum.  And a 2010 version.

Thanks, I saw the 2009 Addenda. My question is the b after 2009 (2009b). To me that is the way the ASTM Standards show revisions inside the same year and not how the ASME would. Maybe there is, just checking.

Thanks again.

RE: ASME Section II 2009b

It's been many years since ASME produced multiple Addenda in the same year for the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.  The numbering _was_ as you indicated, but that is not applicable any more.

Arghh. The plot thickens.
I now have a second customer indicating that there was no Addenda between the 2009 Addenda (2009a) and the 2010 Edition.
One yes and one no. What's a poor certification clerk supposed to do?

RE: ASME Section II 2009b

ONE (1) addenda per year.

At least now you will only be dealing with one (1) addenda between new code book issues.  Now every other year instead of every three (3) years

by the way, my section II says add. 2009b

RE: ASME Section II 2009b

There is no (b) adendum as far as I know.

After that, I firmly believe Texas Longhorns rule.
Thanks.

Vesselfab

Though I'm not from Texas, I admit to being fully guilty of only looking at the IHS front page (which specifies only 2008 and 2009 with no letters.)  Thanks for setting me straight.
