SB359 C12200 H55 material discrepancies

SB359 C12200 H55 material discrepancies

SB359 C12200 H55 material discrepancies

(OP)
Good morning all,

I'm an ASME Stamp pressure vessel manufacturer and I need to use finned tubes in SB359 C12200 H55 material.
During calculation I noticed some discrepancies between ASME II-D and II-B for the same material.

For II-D (Customary) I have that minimum Yield strength is 9ksi (please see II-D Ed.2010 page 652, ln. 19) but for the same material I have in II-B that min. yield strength is 30 ksi (please see II-B, Ed.2010 page 496, table 2)

Furthermore I compared values (stress, tensile and yield) of this finned SB359 C12200 H55 with values of the unfinned SB75 C12200 O50 and they seem to be equal.
How can be this possible?
How a finned tube in a higher temper (H55) can be similar to an unfinned tube in a lower temper (O50)?

Which values shall I consider in my calculations when using SB359, those in II-D or those in II-B?

Thanking you
