Design code for tower cranes

Design code for tower cranes

I wonder what are the codes to design (structral) tower cranes.
Does CSA Z248-04, have a complete formulation to do this?
I also took a look at DIN 15018 but it is too old.
Thanks.

RE: Design code for tower cranes

CAN/CSA-Z248-04 Applies to the design, characteristics, construction, installation, dismantling, operation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of tower cranes.

Boo, do you know if Z248-04 has the formulas to check structrual strength of the elements of the tower crane?

RE: Design code for tower cranes

I recently did an analysis for Oil Derrick stuctural work, they call out API 4F if I remember correctly.  Might be a starting point.

Do you have a copy of Shapiro"Cranes and Derricks"?;there should be an answer in that book as there is a whole section on tower cranes.
