Xrefed Objects NOT Visible in Plan View

Xrefed Objects NOT Visible in Plan View

Xrefed Objects NOT Visible in Plan View

(OP)
Files "Test Xref.dwg" & "Test Insert.dwg" were respectively xrefed and inserted as block into file "Test Xref vs. Insert.dwg". As you can see all of xrefed objects are NOT visible in the plan view while inserted objects are visible. Anybody knows why?
Thanks,
iv

RE: Xrefed Objects NOT Visible in Plan View

I see the same as you describe, xref'd object is not visible in one of the MS view windows set to "top view".  It is visible in other views & in layouts. It may be due to object not being a standard autocad object, is a an "AECS_MEMBER".

RE: Xrefed Objects NOT Visible in Plan View

Looking at the last drawing, the upper two drawing that you wanted as X-References were not listed in the X-REF Manager dialog box and that is the reason.

RE: Xrefed Objects NOT Visible in Plan View

chicopee, note in the OP: "..were respectively xrefed and inserted as block "

RE: Xrefed Objects NOT Visible in Plan View

I opened the two first drawings with no problem but the third drawing has an incompatible version with my ACAD2004 and would not open.  Is it possible that the third drawing is an incompatible version in your computer?
