How To Line Up Dimensions That Are Side By Side

How To Line Up Dimensions That Are Side By Side

How To Line Up Dimensions That Are Side By Side

(OP)
Using Catia V5R18;

What is the procedure to allow two dimensions that are side by side each other, become in-line with each other?

Any response will be greatly appreciated!

RE: How To Line Up Dimensions That Are Side By Side

Right click on the dimension to move. Select 'Line-Up'. Select the dimension to align with. Set 'Offset to Reference' value to 0. Accept.

RE: How To Line Up Dimensions That Are Side By Side

With snap mode ON, I've had success while creating the dimension by dragging it OVER the adjacent dim to which I wish to align it, watching for the cursor to change to a solid center.  I then click once and can then drag the dimension text to where I want it.

Some people are like slinkies....they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
