PRESSURES FOR BLOW MOLDING AIR RING

PRESSURES FOR BLOW MOLDING AIR RING

PRESSURES FOR BLOW MOLDING AIR RING

(OP)
We are going to be using an air ring normally used in a blow molding line for an other application. I am unfamiliar with specifying a blower for these air rings so I have been trying to educated myself. I have looked at information on the web in order to try determine the proper air flow and pressure. What I see consistently is a reference to 16" wg and 32" wg.

Can anyone explain why these two pressures are referenced so often? Are they standard pressures for two types of processes? are they pressures for two different modes of operation? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am using 7.5.2.5 NATIVE on Dell with windows XP OS
