organics in air stream ruining ducting
organics in air stream ruining ducting
(OP)
Hi all,
I have a situation where a barren organic tank is vented and the contaminants in the airstream include kerosene, amine, and isodecanyl.
I was thinking about using a fiberglass style of duct for this particular scenario as the tanks are made of fiberglass but was wondering if anyone else has seen a different material used in industry?
The organic compounds are reacting with the CPVC piping causing brittle fracture.
Kind Regards,

Thanks for the swift reply and link!
While HDPE, PVC and CPVC serve the trick in other areas of the mill, i've found that these ducting materials break down quickly when venting off of these tanks =(
I appreciate the link. This information will be useful for both myself and my colleagues!
Any other duct material suggestions?
Thanks,
Snipe
