API 607 and ISO-FT industrial valves marking

API 607 and ISO-FT industrial valves marking

(OP)

With reference to closed thread809-203817: Marking Issues on Valves With API 607 regarding industrial valves fire testing and marking, it must be noticed that between 2004 and 2005 ISO and API decided to create a common standard, so ISO 10497, 2nd Edition (2004) and API 607, 5th Edition  (2005) were officially identical, including the paragraph that called for an ISO-FT marking of the valves qualified according to the standard (also in the API version).

In the following revision (dated 2010) the two standards divided their ways again, even if the changes in their contents were very few.
One of those is the deletion of paragraph 7.5 about ISO-FTmarking from API 607, 6th Edition (2010).
