applying asce 7-05 "lattice framework" coefficients

(OP)
I have a structure with 4 rows of identical wood bracing such that in each orthogogonal direction their area identical and perfectly "shielded". I am using ASCE 7-05's lattice frame work coefficients; my question is whether I need to apply my calculated design pressure to each plane of bracing members? I know ASCE 7 generally says shielding should not be taken into account but I was under the impression that statement was more regarding one entire buildling structure shielding the other since you can't always count on the structure being there. If I have to apply the load to each place it is more than double what a solid wall would be!

RE: applying asce 7-05 "lattice framework" coefficients

Check the oblique direction.  It won't be shielded.
