Simulate the 2D contact composite material

(OP)
Dear all,

I want to simulate the contact between 2 body in 2D problem by Nastran (SOL 400). One of the 2 body is composite material, but untill now i don´t achieve it.

If i use 2 metal body, i have results, but when i use the composite material, Nastran doesn´t work.

Any body have any idea about this problem?

Please help.

Thank you

RE: Simulate the 2D contact composite material

The .f06 file can reveal a lot regarding your analysis. It may be found in the directory in which you saved your model to. Check your .f06 for any "Fatal" or "Warning" messages. Take note of the message and their number and Google it to find information regarding the error.

An example of an error message would be,

USER   FATAL   MESSAGE 9050 (SEKRRS)
^^^ RUN TERMINATED DUE TO EXCESSIVE PIVOT RATIOS IN MATRIX KLL.
^^^ USER ACTION:  CONSTRAIN MECHANISMS WITH SPCI OR SUPORTI ENTRIES OR SPECIFY PARAM,BAILOUT,-1 TO
     CONTINUE THE RUN WITH MECHANISMS

After some research, you will find this is a problem regarding unconstrained rigid body motions.
