Soil Model

Soil Model

(OP)
Has anyone worked on London Clay in relations to deep excavations & bored tunnelling? I am looking the perfect soil model that needs to be applied in the numerical analysis. I got some references where people prefer to use Modified Cam Clay theory on this type of soil. How much this theory is perfect for London Clay?

RE: Soil Model

The "perfect" soil model? I don't think I have seen one of those.

MCC theory was derived on laboratory tests of saturated remoulded soils.
