Screen Refresh Issues

(OP)
Hello,
When I am working on a large assembly and I minimize the SW window to go to my desktop for something then I maximize the SW window again, the window only comes back partially, usually the outside border then slowly the rest comes back in segments.  What typically handles this process?  Is it video card, RAM, CPU, etc?  I have verified that I have the newest VC driver as well.

Assembly info:
LAM sat to 500 parts
7109 total parts
1520 unique parts
156 top level mates

Thanks in advance for input.

Forgot to add that I am running this on a Dell 30" monitor at the highest resolution allowed.

It's probably your graphics card. Using the latest driver doesn't mean it's an approved driver. Go to: http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html and find out which driver you need for your system/set up. If you have to change drivers, be sure to uninstall the old before installing the new.

RE: Screen Refresh Issues

Also what OS are you running?  If it is Vista or Windows 7 make sure you have a Windows Aero Theme enabled on your desktop.

Hi Anna,
I plan on running XP Pro x64 as long as I can :)

RE: Screen Refresh Issues

Why.....  Windows 7 is far superior to Windows XP.  If you are running SW2010 and newer you need to kick XP to the curb.

Cheers,

Anna

I have a customized theme; how do I know if is an Aero-type setup?
