High Toughness, High Temp Coating

High Toughness, High Temp Coating

Hello All. We are currently looking for a truck bed liner-type material to spray inside a vehicle. The problem we are facing is that the ambient temperature where we are spraying (in operation, not during application) is 350-400F. The sprayable coatings we have come across so far don't lend themselves to this temperature range. Application temp is room temperature. The qualities we are looking for are as follows:

Stable at 350-400F
High toughness
Sprayable (multi-part is ok)
<60 thou thickness
<6 hour, room temp cure

Thank you in advance for the suggestions! We are really hoping to meet most of the criteria above, but I am very open to alternative solutions. As this area is a bit new to me, please direct me to the right forum if this is not it. Thank you!

RE: High Toughness, High Temp Coating

Does it have to have some flexibility?

RE: High Toughness, High Temp Coating

You can get to 380°F with spray applied Techthane 380.  I would give them a call s they might have a better recommendation for  your application.

Thank you. I will have to make the above phone calls today. Flexibility isn't a requirement, but being inside a vehicle it will be subject to some low and high frequency vibrations.
