FEA benchmarking

FEA benchmarking

FEA benchmarking

(OP)
Hey all,

I need to compare my FEA results to theoretical results in a number of different areas.  Are there any benchmarks out there that have:

1) a CAD model (IGES, STEP, etc.)
2) loads and boundary conditions
3) expected results

or something similar?  I need to validate my results against known correct results.

Areas of interest are linear elastic stress, non-linear materials, plastic deformation, contact stress, thermal/heat transfer, forced vibration/natural frquency.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

RE: FEA benchmarking

Pick one out of a or "the" mechanics textbook.
