Original color in drafting

Hi!

How could I get in Drafting the original colors from the 3D solids?

Thanks

RE: Original color in drafting

In the view style menu, go to the visible lines tab and click on the color picker (colored box on the left) this will bring up the 'color' dialog box, choose 'deselect all colors' and press OK. This will force the view to use the colors from the body. Repeat for 'hidden lines', 'smooth edges', etc as needed.

If this is something that you want to change permanently, you will have to do this process in the preferences of your template file (and/or customer preferences for blank files).

RE: Original color in drafting

This question may be in response to the fact that by default you may be seeing your drawing in 'Monochrome' display mode.  If this is the case, go to...

Preferences -> Visualization -> Color

...and in the section of the dialog labeled 'Drawing Part Settings', toggle OFF the 'Monochrome Display' option.  Now remember, this is setting is an a per part file basis and so you will need to change this setting in all drawings if you wish to see the drawing using the actual colors of the models being drawn.  If you don't this to ever be set this way, you will need to change it both in Customer Defaults as well as opening the original Drawing Tempalte files and changing the above setting and resaving them again.
