basic question about wind load enclosed structure which i rarely do. i usually do open structure.

anyway, i know sidewall wind cancel out but am a little confuse whether i should add the sidewall wind load pressure in my staad model and let it cancel out in the foundation reaction.

nevermind, i'll just follow fig 6-6.
fig 6-9 case 1 have me confuse.

Sidewall pressures must still be considered in your design, but if you mean their global effect in that direction for lateral system design will sum to zero than you are correct.
