Multipler, CT and PT ratios

Multipler, CT and PT ratios

Multipler, CT and PT ratios

(OP)
I have just started a job as a meter Tech and I am really having a hard time trying to figure out how to calculate Multiplier CTratios, and PT Ratios. I could use the help I use a Form 5-s,9-s
6-s and 4-s meters and I am trying to find an easy way to wrap my head around how to figure out how to calculateto get my info that I need?

RE: Multipler, CT and PT ratios

The multiplier is often the PT ratio times the CT ratio.
But beware.
Some metering systems such as the 3S may require the CT ratio to be cut in half for the multiplier.
Note also, a 500:5 CT has a ratio of 500/5 or 100, and a 600:120 PT has a ratio of 600/120 or 5.
