Variable Radius Fillet Problems

Variable Radius Fillet Problems

Variable Radius Fillet Problems

(OP)
Hey there.

I'm having a really tough time trying to figure out why this fillet won't work. I'm trying to apply a Variable Radius fillet to a thickened curved surface. A normal constant fillet works fine but it gives me issues when trying to switch to the variable fillet. First of all, it does not offer any points like it usually does to define. Second, I've tried creating some points with a 3D sketch as 'attached radii', and it allows me to change the radius on the front an back of my body different than on the sides (like the image in the zip file attached), but when trying to solve, it pops up the error "Invalid feature value" or "value is too large or small". It does this even if i set every point to the same radius as the working constant radius setting.

Thanks for reading, please help if you can!

Still no luck. Any ideas?

Why not attach here rather than some other site?

RE: Variable Radius Fillet Problems

I think the apostrophe in the .jpg filename is causing problems.

If you want to see the jpg, copy the whole link and paste into your browser. If you want to see the cad file, click the link, download the file.

I figured it out, if i split the part with a line, for some reason it would allow me to apply a variable fillet. I then joined the parts together after. Problem solved :)
