Steel Culvert, Collar Beam Design

Can anyone recommend any guidance on the design of collar beams for corrugated steel culverts. I need to design these beams to stiffen the cut ends of the culvert. I think the beam needs to be designed as a concrete compression ring.

standard concrete headwall should do. contact your department of transportation (city, county or state) for a standard design which should not require any special structural analysis

Sorry should have stated the culvert is for an underpass under a highway. It will be a twin culvert/tunnel each approximately 6.5m in diameter. The ends of the culvert will be cut to match the profile of the highway embankment, therefor any compression resistance of the steel culvert will be lost at this point

Then you may make substructure models for the ends in 3D, mainly benefiting from the application of the elastic properties to the soil and construction materials for the loading, or use a similar model loaded in whatever suitable notional way.

Thanks for your help ishvaaag. I will look into the design software. I also found the UK document Design Manual For Roads & Bridges BD12/01 Design of Corrugated Steel Buried Structures.
