What type of machine is this?

What type of machine is this?

What type of machine is this?

(OP)
I saw a machine like this one day at a roadway rehabilitation project and am curious as to its function.  Anybody have any ideas?

I found a picture of it on http://www.southstateinc.com/default.asp

and attached a .jpg of it here.

Thanks All,

On the southState website,  the machine i'm referring to is the 4th one in sequence when the slideshow starts.

RE: What type of machine is this?

Looks like part of paving system??

RE: What type of machine is this?

Why not call them and ask?? I am sure they are proud of it!!

RE: What type of machine is this?

Looks like a rolling scaffold for the operation of a concrete pour to form the deck.

RE: What type of machine is this?

or better yet to finish the surface appearance of the concrete pour.

RE: What type of machine is this?

This device, as chicopee pointed out, is used for a combination of screeding and finishing bridge deck concrete placement.  Oddly enough, it is just commonly called, at least from what I've heard, a deck screed machine.

There is usually an accompanying piece behind it after placement to provide a mist of water over the surface during curing procedures.

Ah thats it, Thanks for the answer

RE: What type of machine is this?

Bidwell and Gomaco are the two manufacturers that make these where I am from.
Transverse, one or two drum, bridge slab screed. Really the best way to pour a bridge deck.
