APDL/Modeling/BC/Saving/Database/

(OP)
Hello everybody,
I have a very basic question. After doing my simulation, I am not able to get back my data/see my BC/Results.

I will describe what I am doing step by step. Maybe somebody can tell me what I am skipping.
FIRST STEP

1)I opened the product launcher and type XX as jobname.
2)I click RUN. A new, empty file is opened.
3)I create geometry
4)I select element type
5)I enter material properties
6)I enter loads (I am applying thermal loads but this is not relevant I think)
7)I go to SOLVE the problem.
8)I check my results, everything is fine.
9)I save my database by SAVE_DB, and click exit and choose SAVE EVERYTHING...
10)I close my product launcher

Now, I want to check my model.

SECOND STEP
1)Open product launcher
2)I select the XX.db filename, than say RUN
3)When APDL is opened, I click RESUME_DB and I see my model on my screen.
4)When I click Material Properties,
-1)I am not able to see the TEMPERATURE UNIT that I specified!
-2)My material model stays there.
5)I want to check my TEMPERATURE (which was defined previously), and when I want to delete it, it says "this function requires defined areas. No areas are currently defined".
6)When I SOLVE the problem again, it solves but there is no results because there is no boundary conditions actually.

Could somebody help me about what I am doing wrong?

Best Regards,
Sartor

RE: APDL/Modeling/BC/Saving/Database/

Did you try typing MPLIST? I think you may have to issue a /UNITS command to tag what units you input. Ansys doesn't keep track of units, per say. You have to be consistent with your unit system when entering user inputs. See 1.1.1.3 of the Basic Analysis Guide.

I'm not following what you're trying to do when you delete your temperature. Are you trying to change the boundary condition?

Perhaps some screenshots would be useful.

I did all the things I wrote +
RESUME_DB and READ_RESULTS...
now it is working.
Thanks a lot.
