Chem-Aire v. Duraplus ABS Piping - Equivalent?
Chem-Aire v. Duraplus ABS Piping - Equivalent?
(OP)
Does anyone have an opinion whether Chem-Aire ABS pipe is equivalent to Duraplus ABS pipe?
We have Chem-Aire called out on a project, but the Contractor is submitting to us Duraplus.

(I found an old thread (http://www .eng-tips. com/viewth read.cfm?q id=176105& amp;page=1) that mentioned both, but didn't address whether they were equivalent products.)

Both also have issues with some synthetic oils, you need to make sure you use a compatible oil. Both have compatible lists of oils. Incompatible oils make the pipe subject to brittle failure, which is the inherent problem with PVC and compressed air!
