ProE Symbol Codes

ProE Symbol Codes

Hi,

Does anyone have a library of ProE symbol codes, such as to make centerline, breakline symbols?

Using WF 4.0.

Thanks

RE: ProE Symbol Codes

Hi,

It appears that ProE requires some codes or characters to make various GD & T & other types of drafting symbols, such as using the '@' symbol.

Does anyone have a list or library of these types of codes to make
Stacked GD & T Composite Frames or other various GD & T & Drafting symbols, such as a Centerline symbol?

If not, how or where are these made within ProE 4.0?

  Thanks

RE: ProE Symbol Codes

@[text@] will put a box around any text including the GD&T symbols available on the symbol palette.  You can make a fake GD&T symbol that way but not composite frames or centerline symbols.  You will have to use the symbol creation mode in the drawing package for that.  Any drawing symbol can be embedded in a note after it is retrieved into the drawing with the notation &sym(symbol_name).

Hi PeterStock & Dgallup,

Thanks for the info.  Keep them coming..... I don't know how many different symbols or codes there are within ProE, but I have a feeling there's a few & these are only a start.

Thanks

RE: ProE Symbol Codes

Not sure if this helps but I used them in custom note files and hole callouts.  They are ascii characters that can be called out in a note using the following format <ctrl-a>symbol<ctrl-b> typed out in the note with the carrots included.  For more info check out TPI 104111 in the PTC knowledge base.
