Non-Prestressed Double Tees?

Non-Prestressed Double Tees?

Non-Prestressed Double Tees?

(OP)
This question might be silly, but are all double Tees prestressed concrete?  I'm looking at a building from 1968.  The drawings I have provide no reinforcement details regarding the double Tees (4 ft wide, 16" deep including 2" slab).  There's a 3.5" topping.  Spans are 30 ft.

I always thought these double, single, and half Tee shapes were precast/prestressed, but some of the provided details indicate otherwise.

Reinforcement details are provided for the single and half Tees.  A typical single Tee is either 8' or 6'-8" wide and 16" deep.  The slab tapers from 1.5" to almost 2" deep and there is a 3" haunch at the web.  These single and half tees are shown as conventionally reinforced concrete, not prestressed concrete, although they do appear to be precast.

The absence of reinforcement details for the double Tees also kind of leads me to believe that they are prestressed concrete, but with conventional reinforcing bars shown for the single Tees, I'm not as comfortable making that assumption.

Any guidance?

Thanks.

RE: Non-Prestressed Double Tees?

I don't remember ever coming across single or double tees which were not prestressed, but there is no reason which comes to mind why it could not be done.
