Ferrite testing of duplex

(OP)
Hi guys,

not sure if anyone can help here, but here goes anyway.

we have been asked by a client to take ferrite readings on some duplex samples.....no problem...we have a fischer ferritescope.

The client has stated that the procedure for taking ferrite readings on duplex is completely different to that of bog-standard 316! That was news to me.....I know there is a big difference between the two. Duplex approx 50, 316 1-5.

I always thought you calibrate it off the blocks and then just hit the sample a couple of times same way.....

any suggestions would be most welcome

regards

declan
