Convert from DWG/DXF to NX

Convert from DWG/DXF to NX

(OP)
I have a file in dwg format that contains a 3D model. When I import it to NX I can only see the drawing but not the 3D model.

Is there any way to import a simple 3D model in dwg/dxf into NX 7.5?

Thanks.
Frank.

RE: Convert from DWG/DXF to NX

No.
NX doesn't have the ACIS kernel.
That's also the reason why NX can't do anything with SAT files either.
If you have Solid Edge, you can try that. It will convert the 3D portion to a SAT. That SAT you can import again in Solid Edge and then export it to any other format that NX can read.
