Re-position linked body
Re-position linked body
(OP)
Hi,
I model a plastic part (ABS material).
I need the same part made in PVC, so I used the assembly for create a wave geometry link body.
The problem is that I'm not able to mate the linked body, it stays fixed.
How can I mate a geometry link body ?
It's correct my procedure ?

RE: Re-position linked body
Open a new part, in assembly add component, select the abs part, bring it in, click the wave geometry linker, select the abs part.
Turn off the abs part in your geometry tree, and assign material property to your new part.
If done correctly you should only see 1 solid body, and in your model history you should see a linked body feature with 2 golden chain links
RE: Re-position linked body
What you need to do is create a totally NEW Assembly and then add BOTH Components to this Assembly. Now you can position them relative to each other in any way that you wish.
