fin tube system

(OP)
Hello all

I have general question
can we estimat the capacity of a fin tube provided by hot water from a water heater(not from a heating boiler)the tube length is about 8 feet
Regards

RE: fin tube system

Your best bet is to find out who is the manufacturer for their catalog since hot water temperature, tube size and length, hot water flow velocity and ambient temperature will determine the info. you seek.

RE: fin tube system

Need to know the temperature of the water, temperature of the room, and the flow rate to estimate the capacity of the fin tube.

RE: fin tube system

if you know the delta t and the flow rate, you can get the capacity Q=mdotCp(dt)
