Are you referring to thread2-192021: Birdstrike calculation
There were a few other manuals mentioned on there that were not Proprietory.

Yes I'm referring to that thread. The BAe manual is apparently a very comprehensive deisgn manual which purportedly is in the public domain. If you are able to provide a copy or any alternatives then that would be great.
Thanks for your reply

What exactly are you looking for?
This describes a version of the system that shoots birds at windshields
This link has various articles about bird impact resistance

Thanks again for your reply and links. Some really useful material. Particularly with regards to the windshield considerations and testing methods. To answer your question about what exactly I was looking was obviously the BAE report. I read somewhere that the BAE document was in the public domain due to the nature of the subject and how it would benefit all those it is applicable to. I have seen the forerunner document (attached) which describes the content of the report. The report supposedly covers all areas of design consideratrion from leading edges, antenae, landing gear, etc with regards to birdstrike. There is clearly quite alot of information out there with regards to windshields/canopies but not alopt of readily available information on other affected areas of the aircraft. From the initial thread I mentioned it appears there are copies out there but not sure how to get a copy. Thanks again for your help

I suspect that this document was compiled by department B44 at the Filton, UK site. There is a snowball's chance of it being public domain.
You could request access to the document, but complications are that after organizational restructuring, department B44 no longer exists in its original form, and the engineering IP at Filton is now owned by EADS Airbus. Most of the people who worked there in '81 are long, long gone, but record-keeping at the site is very good. I am certain that if (a that's a big if) you were cleared for access to the document, then an archivist would be able to quickly produce an original copy.

I also looked for that BAE TR.
Did you find it?
In thread you referred it was also spoken about others documents: 1)a RAE TR 72056 "The design of the leading edge and intake wall structures to resist bird impact" and 2) a Hawker Siddeley report.
Do you have any new about all of those?
Thanks
