CSA Code and CRN

CSA Code and CRN

CSA Code and CRN

(OP)
I'm doing work in Oil Sand Project in Canada.
Because it's the first time for me to use CSA Code, it's tough to prepare material specification.
It'll be very helpful if you give some idea for the following matters;

1. Use of CSA Gr.550 Material in Pipeline.
   We are using Gr.550 material for steam distribution lines.
   It's difficult to calculate pipe wall thickness based on CSA Z662-07, Annex I.
   Design temperature is around 300degC and there is no allowable stress value at this temperature.
   Vendor's mechanical test data is required to know Yield Strength at Design Temperature?

2. Material Deviation
   Is there any regulation or rule that Canadian pipeline material shall be of CSA material?
   If possible, I want to use equivalent material such as API/ASTM Material. What do you think about this?
   Even if it's okay, searching equivalent to Gr.550 is difficult (API 5LX-80 for pipe, but not for fittings/flanges/valves).

3. Valves
   I've seen pipeline material specification with all valves with ASTM Material although pipe/fitting/flanges
   are using CSA Material. I don't think ASTM Material has enough strength than CSA Material.
   By the way, for steam distribution line - Annex I - allows to use low yield strenth or conventional ASTM material.
   WEIRD.

4. CRN
   I know that every Canadian Projects require CRN (Canadian Registration Number) for items described in CSA B51.
   I wonder that CRN is required for following items;
    1) Tube and GRP Pipe (Steel Pipe does not require CRN.)
    2) Tube Fitting and GRP Fitting/Flange
    3) O-let
    4) CRN for ASME B16.34 and API 6D can cover API 600/602?

Sorry for lots of questions;
But If you advise for anything above, it'll be very helpful to me.
Thank you!!
