Carbon steel pipe flange material 11 416.1 ??

Carbon steel pipe flange material 11 416.1 ??

Carbon steel pipe flange material 11 416.1 ??

(OP)
I have received a test report from a carbon steel flange on which the material is named 11 416.1 . I don't know this material and google gave me some hits on flanges/equipement from eastern europe. So I guess it's a russian standard or something like that.

Does any of you know a european (or american) equivalent of this material? And if known, can you indicate the origin of this 11 416.1 material?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

RE: Carbon steel pipe flange material 11 416.1 ??

This designation is a carbon steel from the Czech Republic. It is supplied under CSN with the following composition by mass

C </= 0.020 %
Si </= 0.35
Mn </= 0.50
P  </= 0.040
S </= 0.040
Cr </= 0.30
Ni </= 0.30
Cu </= 0.30
Cr+Ni+Cu </= 0.70

It looks like this material is similar to DIN P265 GH

The above information was from Stahlschlussel, Key to Steel, 2007 Edition.

Thanks for your reply. Comparing the certificate of the material with EN specifications I already found the comparison to P265.
One detail which caught my attention is the elongation at rupture, which is only 3,7%. This looks aweful low to me, I would expect something around 25%.

Can anybody explain the 3,7% elongation at rupture?

Thanks in advance for your replies.
