Can't insert a Design table in a part!

Can't insert a Design table in a part!

Can't insert a Design table in a part!

(OP)
I have SW 2008 SP 5.
I have lots of parts with design tables, and can edit them no problem.
I usually use configurations, today I tried to create a design table.
insert - design table
and nothing happens, been throught all kinds of tutorials, new parts.
again nothing...
Is there a check box in options I missed that disables this?
Thanks in advance,
Keith

Do you have Excel on your computer? I don't and I have the same issue.

Sorry should have mentioned that,
Yes, I have office 2003 installed...
Also, when I try to create one, the options (properties) windows open just like in the tutorials.
I set my options, hit okay and nil...
Thanks
Keith

RE: Can't insert a Design table in a part!

Sounds like SW lost its ability to talk with Office when it comes to inserting a DT. I have been having a lot of problems with this recently, but I am still able to get it to work.

SW with the help of my VAR gave me a this command "Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\Syswow64\Ole32.dll"

You have to open a Command window - Start\Run and then you can RMB (Right Mouse Button) and paste the link and click "Enter" to run it. Its suppose to the link between SW and Excel... I am running 64-bit so if you have 32-bit machine it might differ. Check out the SW knowledge base, you should be able to find it there.
