I beam pile in confined space

I beam pile in confined space

(OP)
I have designed a 15' tall free standing wall of W6X15 I Beams every 10' for 60'. The use of these I beams will likely create a moment of 48,200 inch pounds at floor level. The wall will be on a 6" concrete slab and there is a ceiling 22' above the slab. I am having difficulty creating a design that is feasible with the ceiling constraint. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

RE: I beam pile in confined space

First off, a sketch of what you are trying to do would be helpful.  Secondly, if you are trying to design a 15' high cantilevered wall with W6x15 soldier beams at 10' on center, it sounds to me like the soldiers are too small.  If you have low overhead clearance that hampers soldier beam installation, you may have to get a low headroom drill to drill the holes and then insert the soldier beams in short sections as you splice them. This is difficult and time consuming.  I suspect you should be building a different type of wall.
