Making sheets a solid body
Making sheets a solid body
(OP)
According to this thread:

Making a sew of watertight sheets produces a solid. How can I verify that my object is, in fact, a solid?
Also, why is it that when I sew a body together it sews, but when I use the sheets to solids assistant, it is unable to sew with the same tolerance? I can't get the sheets to solids assitant to make my body a solid by any means.
Also, by my understanding, a sheet boundary is a crack in the model between sheets. Is this correct? How can I mitigate/remove them? So far I have been importing my IGS exports to ANSA, fixing the geometry issues, and exporting them back to NX. Is there a better way to fix boundaries in NX?
I am using NX7, by the way.
Thanks for any help!

RE: Making sheets a solid body
Now if it turns out that the model is still a sheet body due to 'cracks' you could open up (set to a larger value) the tolerance used in the Sew command. Or you could try going to...
File -> Export -> Heal Geometry...
...and see if that fixes the cracks (you may have to perform the sewing operation again).
