Disconnect Switch Frequency Ratings

Disconnect Switch Frequency Ratings

Disconnect Switch Frequency Ratings

(OP)
I am looking to replace some open copper bussing and home made knife switches at an industrial site with listed and labeled equipment.  The first problem I am running into is the disconnect switches that I would use to replace the knife switches are going to be exposed to 500V high frequency.  They are feeding induction heating furnaces.   Does anyone know if a standard off the shelf disconnect switch rated for 600V will work?  Do they have a frequency rating?  What is it, 60 HZ?

Any other considerations I should think about?  What about standard bus duct if I were to replace the open copper bus bars?

RE: Disconnect Switch Frequency Ratings

This may not be an usual application for a load brak switch. An alternative is consulting with the switch manufacturer for the appropiate application at high frequency.
